Another Game in PK's, This Time Not in Crossroads Favor

Hawthorne:

The Roadrunner’s last game of the South Torrance Tournament was against Hawthorne, another tough opponent. Olivia Henrikson had a fantastic performance, disrupting plays and linking the team in the middle. Down 0-2 at half, Crossroads stepped it up, holding Hawthorne on their defensive half.  Here Sadie Recht, Danae Kawamoto, and Katie Shapiro were able to take on girls on the right flank causing all kinds of disruption. Ella Larsen got through and put a fantastic pass down the middle for Ami Kalokoh to hit in one touch and score. In the last play of the game, Ami had a free-kick on the right side that she put in the back of the net. Once again, the game went to PKS!  Despite an amazing effort by goalkeeper Claire Larsen who was able to stop an attempt during the shootout, the Roadrunners lost 4-5.  Said Coach Albert Racca, “Finishing the South Torrance 2-3 I am VERY proud of these girls, as these teams where Very talented teams that compete at the DIV 2 level. I believe going into season we will have a great showing, and will not be taken lightly.”
