Crossroads Students Present Papers at Literary Conference

Crossroads students presented papers at the Eighth Annual "Literature &…. " conference organized and hosted by The Archer School for Girls.
On Feb. 26, Crossroads students Sarah Popelka, Sophie Levine, Bella Porter, Jack Gleiberman, Marena Dieden, Alex Eskenazi-Gold and Sariel Friedman presented papers at the Eighth Annual "Literature &…. " conference organized and hosted by The Archer School for Girls on campus in the school’s Rose Room.

More than 25 students from eight area independent schools participated in the conference. Invitations to the conference are quite selective as less than a third of submissions are accepted. Crossroads students were supported by a gathering of parents and English faculty members Paul Gibbs and Cole Godvin.

The full day celebration of literature and literary criticism offered the opportunity for an exciting exchange of intellectual ideas among students from diverse learning environments. Crossroads presenters shared work on a host of topics ranging from Chicano literature to the rise of the pamphlet as a tool for the dissemination of revolutionary ideas in the 18th Century.
