Alum, Students Volunteer at Camp for Inner-City Children

Crossroads alumnus and Upper School students volunteer at Camp Harmony Winter Camp in Malibu over President’s Day weekend.
On President’s Day weekend, Crossroads parent and alumnus, Adam Slutske ’93, volunteered as the director for Camp Harmony Winter Camp in Malibu, which hosted more than 300 homeless and underprivileged children from shelters and agencies across Los Angeles. Twenty-one Upper School students from Crossroads also volunteered as counselors at the Winter Camp. A group of Crossroads alumni continue to work at the Camp as part of the administrative staff.

The annual camp, which is part of United in Harmony, a local nonprofit organization, aims to give children a break from the inner city and help them develop self-esteem.
