Boys JV Tennis beat Geffen 15-3

Against Geffen, Arya Jandaghi swept his matches at number one singles behind powerful ground strokes.  Kayal Bhatia's quickness and precision won him all 3 of his matches as well.
Leo Bloom closed out the singles play for the Roadrunners, contributing 2 wins to the match tally with strong serves and a fierce forehand.  The doubles teams found success as well with the number one team (Avanth Pakanati and Cayson Wernick) bringing their signature backspin and seamless court switches to win all of their matches.  David Deiser and Eugene Fisher were not to be outdone as their communication and net presence easily secured a sweep. Liam Shiflett and Dashiell Raimi easily won 2 of their matches at 3 doubles with their quick reactions and strong finishes. The exhibition duo of Navid Rouzroch and Evan Hayes won a match as well, showing off their rising level of play.  In the end, the team had a strong 15-3 win against Geffen thanks to “the positive attitudes, solid level of play from everyone and the help that the players gave each other,” according to Coach Tucker Fortson. He concluded, “everyone was giving each other pointers and cheering one another on during the matches…it brought a level of confidence and team cohesion that was great to see… above all everyone was having a great time.”
