Crossroads will begin accepting applications for admission to the 2018-19 school year August 1, 2017. Below are details for every step of the application process to help you plan and prepare. Create a Ravenna HUB Student Profile By creating a Student Profile in Ravenna HUB, you are able to manage your online application and submit and track all supplemental admissions forms. You are also able to register for optional admissions events prior to submitting an application. You can create a Student Profile by completing the following steps:

Submit the Core ApplicationForms Once you have successfully created a student profile in Ravenna HUB, you are now ready to complete your Core Application Forms. Your Core Application Forms include the Application for Admission as well as the Parent/Guardian Statement. Core Application Forms are due on November 3, 2017 and must be submitted before you are able to self-register for a parent/guardian tour. All remaining supplemental forms are due January 11, 2018.
Register for a Parent/Guardian Tour Please self-register for an Elementary School tour via Ravenna HUB. Specific tours for families applying to grades 1-5 will be offered in January. Led by parent/guardian docents, the campus tour takes you through classrooms where you will meet teachers and Crossroads students. You will also meet the Managing Director of Elementary School Admissions as well as the Director of the Elementary School. We cannot guarantee a new tour date should you miss your scheduled tour. Tours are for adults only.
Submit an Administrative Recommendation Form We require one (1) administrative recommendation form for grades 1-5. This form may be completed by a Head of School, Principal, Academic Counselor or Dean. The administrative recommendation form is a “delegated form.” What this means is that you will delegate the form via Ravenna HUB and the administrator will be emailed a secure link to complete the form directly online. This form must be submitted by January 11, 2018.
Submit a Teacher Recommendation Form We require one (1) teacher recommendation form for grades 1-5. We strongly prefer your child’s current teacher to complete this form. The teacher recommendation form is a “delegated form.” What this means is that you will delegate the form via Ravenna HUB and the teacher will be emailed a secure link to complete the form directly online. This form must be submitted by January 11, 2018.
Submit a Transcript Request Form
Please print, sign and submit the Transcript Request Form to your child’s school. The school will be responsible for submitting the requested academic records directly to Ravenna Solutions via USPS. Upon receipt of your child’s transcripts, Ravenna Solutions will scan and upload these items into your child’s online application. Your child’s transcripts must be received by January 11, 2018.
Register for the Visit Morning Your child will attend a Visit Morning on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 8-10 a.m. Through participation in individual and group activities, children will be able to meet the teachers of their grade level as well as other children applying to their same grade. Children will also participate in a few academic assessments designed to evaluate skills in those areas. Please register viaRavenna HUB no later than Friday, February 9, 2018.
Participation is a requirement of the application process. If you are an international or out-of-state applicant and need to make special Visit Morning arrangements, please contact the Elementary School Admissions office by phone (310-582-4109) or email. There will be no make-up Visit Morning for California residents.
Apply for Tuition Reduction (Financial Aid) If you would like to apply for tuition reduction (financial aid), please make sure that you have checked off that area on your application form. All families seeking aid must complete the Parents’ Financial Statement for the applicant child at sss.nais.org (Crossroads School code is 2676). Please scan and upload your 2016 Federal Tax Return to the sss.nais.org website by January 11, 2018. Your 2017 Federal Tax Return must be scanned and uploaded to the sss.nais.org website by February 8, 2018. Please keep in mind that tuition reduction decisions cannot be made on incomplete files, so be sure and submit your materials in a timely fashion.
Decision Dates Admissions decisions will be mailed for Grades K-8 on Friday, March 16, 2018.
