| | Donate Now: Xrds Parent Grandparents & Special Friends Alumni
The group of parents and educators who founded Crossroads School in 1971 shared a vision, boundless enthusiasm and sheer determination.
Looking for a space to house grades seven through twelve, the School’s founders rented two classrooms in the First Baptist Church on Pico Blvd. Unlike many independent schools, Crossroads was not gifted its campus and the School had no endowment. Gradually, a hodge-podge of industrial buildings was rented on 21st Street, the site of our current Middle and Upper School campus. To date, much progress has been made to secure the School’s future by building its endowment and purchasing the real estate that constitutes the entire K-12 school.
In order to create and maintain excellence in the diversity of our educational programs and student population, to develop the campuses, to address construction needs, and to increase the endowment, the Board of Trustees has adopted a fundraising program that reaches out to current Crossroads families, grandparents and special friends, alumni and parents of alums, faculty and administrators. While at Crossroads, we ask that parents make the School a philanthropic priority. |
|
 | Annual Giving Crossroads School, like virtually every other independent school, relies on tax deductible, contributed income for 8-10% of all of its annual operating needs. We reach out to our current parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty, staff, administrators, parents of alumni and others to meet this challenge. Click here for more information.

 | K-12 Parent Association Fundraising
Each spring, there is one major K-12 Parent Association event which is both a community builder and a fundraiser. Sponsorship helps to underwrite the expenses of the event and allows us to keep the admission price low, so that all members of the Crossroads community can feel welcome to attend. Our goal is to net $250,000, with the proceeds going to the Tuition Reduction Fund, the Faculty Professional Development Fund, the Crossroads Community Outreach Foundation, and Faculty Endowment. Gifts of any amount are welcome, and range from $5 to $10,000 and up.

 | Major Gifts
Crossroads has a major gifts campaign for those families with the interest in making a substantial financial investment in the School and the capacity to do so. The major gifts program supports special needs (such as purchasing real estate, constructing buildings and increasing the School’s endowment fund) that require contributed funds in addition to Annual Giving. For further information please contact Corinne Schulman, Director of Development and Community Relations at 310.829.7391 ext. 512 or send an email to cschulman@xrds.org. |

 | Tuition Reduction Fund
A growing group of families (including current parents, alumni, parents of alums, grandparents and special friends) make a significant, long-term annual commitment of six years or more to support this vital program, which helps increase the School’s socio-economic diversity. Contributions to the Tuition Reduction Fund help make a Crossroads education possible for students who would otherwise be unable to attend. For information please contact Corinne Schulman, Director of Development and Community Relations at 310.829.7391 ext. 512 or send an email to cschulman@xrds.org.

 | Alumni Giving
Our relatively young alumni have a meaningful way to honor their Crossroads experience and the impact that it has had on their lives through the Alumni Change-a-Life Campaign. Their gifts provide increasing support to the Tuition Reduction Fund and, in this way, they are truly changing lives. For more information, please contact Kathy O'Brien, Assistant Director for Alumni & Public Relations at 310.829.7391 ext 513 or e-mail: CrossroadsAlumni@xrds.org
