Unstoppable Girls Volleyball Continues Its Winning Streak
Team advances to the State Regional Championship.
Crossroads’ girls varsity volleyball team continues its winning ways in astronomical fashion, maintaining a perfect post-season record of 24-0!
On Tuesday, Nov. 22, the Crossroads “dream team” travelled to San Diego County to face West Hills of Santee in the State Regional Semifinal Match.
The travel-weary Roadrunners started off sluggish and opened set one down 10-20. A huge drive by the visiting team put Crossroads on top 26-24 and up 1-0.
The second set was another close one as the two teams battled for the lead. The West Hills Wolfpack kept finding glimmers of hope throughout; however, Crossroads effectively shut them down, taking the second set 25-21. The final game ended in a 25-23 Crossroads win.
The team now advances to the State Regional Championship this Saturday, Dec. 3 against Mission Hill’s Bishop Alemany High School in Orange.
