Summer Jobs Bring Alumni Back to Campus

Former students lend their diverse talents to the Summer Program.
Some familiar faces have recently cropped up on campus as 17 alumni returned to work in the Summer Program. Alumni can be found serving as acting coaches for the plays “The Three Musketeers” and “Legally Blonde;” as volleyball and Sports and Recreation assistants; and as teachers of Latin and sculpture, among other positions.

Evan Rasch ’13 began working in the Summer Program while still a student. A member of Crossroads swim teams for seven years and captain for two, this marks his fifth year on the Aquatics summer staff. He began as a junior guard and is now a certified lifeguard and swimming instructor. Evan, who is a music major at Kenyon College in Ohio, says he enjoys helping Summer Program kids gain confidence as swimmers.

“I love the staff here,” Evan says. “It’s always nice to spend time at Crossroads. It feels like home.”
