Upper School Musical Groups Perform at Disneyland

21st Street Singers and Soul Roads participate in Disney’s Community Arts Showcase.
Two Upper School musical groups rocked the Hollywood Backlot Stage at Disney California Adventure Park on June 3. The 21st Street Singers, a vocal ensemble led by Choral Director Jarod Sheahan, entertained the crowd with a Beatles medley arranged by Jarod, as well as “Music in Me” and the a cappella “Chile Con Carne.” For “Music in Me,” they were backed by Crossroads’ pop performance ensemble Soul Roads, led by Middle School Performing Arts Coordinator Tony Hundtoft. Soul Roads performed their own rousing numbers, including “Let’s Stay Together” and “Thank You for Letting Me Be Myself.”

The appearance was arranged through the Disneyland Resort Community Arts Showcase, which highlights local performance groups. After the 30-minute set, the students—and teachers—enjoyed a free afternoon at Disneyland.
