Crossroads Gives Encore Performance at Make Music LA

Students, alumni, faculty and staff took part in the annual music festival June 21.
On June 21, the Crossroads community once again took part in Make Music LA, which consisted of hundreds of free concerts in public spaces throughout Los Angeles. Upper School Dean of Students Tom Nolan led two “Harmonica Mass Appeal” concerts in Santa Monica, backed by a band of Crossroads students, alumni, faculty and staff. Tom gave away 100 Hohner harmonicas to the crowd so that they could join in on a song that he taught. The first concert was held at Tongva Park at 12 p.m.; the second was at Colorado Center Park at 4 p.m.

Make Music LA, now in its third year, is part of a nationwide free day of music that encourages amateurs and professionals alike to create and enjoy music together.
