We are delighted with your interest in Crossroads School and look forward to sharing Crossroads’ unique educational programs. Crossroads cultivates a learning environment that prizes intellectual pursuit, promotes dynamic student teacher relationships, and encourages the quest for excellence not only in academics but also in a broad spectrum of areas including the arts, athletics, community service, leadership, and environmental education. We invite you to get to know us so that you can witness first hand our extraordinarily diverse, engaged community. We are proud to have 34% ethnic and cultural diversity k-12. Our students come from over 185 different schools and live in over 73 zip codes. At each grade level, Crossroads develops the individual’s social and emotional well-being, and supports each student’s voice while fostering a deep commitment, through dialogue and action, to the common good.
We understand that finding the right school for your child is an exciting undertaking, but it can also be a difficult and overwhelming process. In order to make your experience with Crossroads as smooth and accessible as possible, our website is designed to introduce you to the admissions process and give you some basic information about the school. We hope that you will then inquire online to receive our View Book, which profiles the Crossroads experience K-12, and an application packet that will deepen your understanding of the school and allow you to begin the admissions process. We are eager to get to know you and for you to get to know us through our open houses, tours, interviews, coffees, and school events that are open to the public.
The Admissions Office thanks you for your interest and hopes that you will see Crossroads as an excellent match for your child and family. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.
Warm Regards,
Celia Lee
DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS
THE GOAL OF THE ADMISSIONS PROCESS is to ensure that the K-12 student population of over 1,100 reflects the school philosophy as broadly as possible. There is no "typical" Crossroads student because the school seeks students (and families) with diverse backgrounds, talents, and interests. In addition to evaluating individual merit and the appropriateness of a Crossroads education for each student, the composition of each class, and what a student will bring to that dynamic is also considered.
Crossroads School offers open enrollment based on application and admits students to the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. The school does not discriminate on the basis of color, national or ethnic origin, religion or creed, sex, or sexual orientation in the administration of its educational policies, financial aid programs, or athletic and other school-administered programs. Crossroads seeks students with a range and depth of interests and talents. In addition, the school seeks to provide classes which balance boy/girl ratios, ethnic and socio-economic diversity, and heterogeneity in skills.
