BEYOND THE SCHOOL DAY Upper School students can choose from a varied group of after school activities, from more than a dozen clubs to organized programs in athletics and the arts. Some possibilities are listed below.

UPPER SCHOOL ATHLETICS: Practices and games for junior varsity and varsity athletic teams occur every day after school. The athletic department fields teams in Cross Country, Volleyball, Tennis, Basketball, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Baseball, Track, and Golf. Crossroads teams compete in the Gold Coast Conference; other teams in the Gold Coast Conference are Archer, Brentwood, Buckley, Calvery Chapel of Downey, CAMS, Campbell Hall, Connelly, Grace Bretheren, Kilpatrick, LA Baptist, LA Lutheran, Maranatha, Marshall, Montclair Prep, Oakwood, Pacific Hills, Paraclete, Providence, Scott Academy, Valley Christian, Viewpoint, Village Christian, and Whittier Christian. DRAMA AND DANCE: The drama and dance program is both a curricular and extra-curricular program. Course work is done during the school day but rehearsals, set construction, and performances take place after school, at night, and/or on weekends.

LIBRARY: The Paul Cummins Library is open until six o'clock in the evening every school day. Many students use the library after school to study and complete homework, work on research projects or access the Internet.

ADDITIONAL COURSE OFFERINGS: Occasionally an after-school class or two are offered, particularly in the arts, to allow students the opportunity to take courses they cannot normally fit into the school day. After-school courses offered in the past have included Photography and Figure Drawing.
