Overview

Thanks to generations of donors, Crossroads has flourished and grown into the School it is today, where students receive an exceptionally joyful education.
There are a number of ways to invest in our School and participate in Annual Giving. We hope that families will consider contributing to both of the below efforts throughout the school year.

Whether you’re a parent, alumni, grandparent, parent of alumni, friend or employee, please know that your generosity makes everything we do possible.

The Crossroads Fund

The Crossroads Fund is our first fundraising priority because gifts to the Crossroads Fund impact so many areas of our School. By giving to the Crossroads Fund, you are strengthening our founding commitments, enabling us to put necessary resources toward academic excellence, the arts, the greater community, a diverse student body and every child’s physical well-being and full human potential. Support of the Crossroads Fund also allows us to be responsive to our ever-changing world and meet the needs of our community with flexibility, and is vital to the outstanding progressive education our students receive. Gifts to the Crossroads Fund count toward Annual Giving participation.

The K-12 Parent Association Spring Event

Proceeds from the annual K-12 Parent Association Spring Event benefit the Affordability Program. By participating in this fundraising event (the theme of which rotates every year), you can help make an independent school education affordable to more families. One in four Crossroads students participates in the Affordability Program. We encourage community members who are passionate about removing financial barriers to education and creating a more equitable society to support the Spring Event in addition to their Crossroads Fund giving. Spring Event sponsorships and gifts to the Affordability Program count toward Annual Giving Participation.
As a nonprofit organization, Crossroads relies on philanthropic support to attract and retain outstanding teachers; remain accessible to a diverse student population; and, most importantly, to enrich the educational experiences of our students.

FAQs

List of 2 frequently asked questions.

  • Why does Crossroads ask for donations? Doesn’t tuition cover the School’s expenses?

In a word, no. Tuition covers only about 87% of our annual operating budget. If we were to raise tuition to cover the full cost of a Crossroads education, our School would be accessible to only the wealthiest of families. Instead, we ask our entire community to contribute to the Crossroads Fund to the best of their abilities, giving more students the opportunity to reach their full potential.
  • Who should give to the Crossroads Fund?

All current Crossroads parents are expected to support the Crossroads Fund as generously as is comfortable every year. By prioritizing Crossroads in your philanthropic giving, you demonstrate your commitment to your children and their classmates, as well as to the dedicated teachers and staff members who provide students with unparalleled guidance, instruction and care. We hope that alumni and parents of alumni look back fondly on Crossroads and choose to support today’s generation of Roadrunners. And we encourage grandparents, friends, and faculty and staff to invest in the education of our students.

Other Areas of Support

  • The K-12 Parent Association Fundraiser

Every year, the Parent Association presents a series of parties (known as Party Book) and a spring event to raise critical funds for Financial Aid at Crossroads through ticket sales, raffles, auctions and more. The spring event is chockful of dancing, entertainment and surprises and is not-to-be-missed. Purchases made through Party Book and the spring event support Annual Giving; however, they do not count toward the Crossroads Fund.
  • Planned Giving

The Robert Frost Legacy Society honors those who have included Crossroads School in their wills, trusts or life insurance. There are a wide variety of planned giving options that allow you to generously support Crossroads School while improving your own financial and tax situation.
