GRADES 6-12
CONDUCTED BY Michael Powers

Come and play in a classical orchestra at Crossroads, where student musicians play masterworks from the orchestral repertoire. With an emphasis on ensemble playing, phrasing, listening to others and learning to blend with the section and the orchestra as a whole, students are introduced to beloved classical works.

SPECIAL HIGHLIGHTS:
• Guest coaches will visit throughout the year to work with our musicians.
• Orchestra members may have the opportunity of solo performance in a concerto with the ensemble.

Students must have a minimum of two years of instruction on their orchestral instruments, be comfortable sight-reading music and be recommended by their teacher. It is recommended that each student also participate in a music ensemble at his or her own school.

This class meets once a week in Roth Hall at 1714 Twenty-First Street in Santa Monica. A complete class schedule will be sent upon enrollment.
